I got my paragard iud about a month ago and my period just started. the cramps are so intense and i have diarrhea and nausea. is this normal?

Not usually: No this is not something we would expect with a paragard, but we see this with a Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud sometimes. Call you md office and get an appointmet to figure this out.
