Over-dose - NAPQI: Tylenol (acetaminophen) is metabolized by the liver with a by product called n-acetyl-p-benzoquinoneimine (napqi). Napqi damages hepatocytes (liver cells). If you take an over-dose of tylenol (acetaminophen) there is too much napqi to safely remove through urine. The napqi damages the liver.
