Deep stabbing pain in back of upper left thigh. should i be worried about dvt?

Maybe: It's not out of the question, but wouldn't say it's typical. If it were behind the knee, i'd be more suspicious but by the time the veins get up to your thigh, they are on the inside of the leg, not the back. Nevertheless, i would ask your doctor and consider getting an ultrasound.

Possible: While a stabbing pain is not the most typical DVT symptom, if you have other risk factors for clotting, you should see your doctor and get evaluated.
