Important to check: Infections that suggest a possible immune problem are: severe, recurrent or unusual infections. Long courses of antibiotics with little effect, infections requiring IV antibiotics, more than 2 episodes of pneumonia, and family history of immune deficiency. Maybe: Infections that are unusual, too frequent, or that are difficult to treat might signal immune deficiency. A couple of simple blood tests are usually sufficient to answer this question.
