A 30-year-old member asked:
What is the approximate time to heal a fatty liver?

It Depends: There are no specific treatments for fatty liver other than diet and exercise (as well as controlling cholesterol and diabetes). If there is just benign fat, this can resolve. However, if the liver has developed steatohepatitis (fatty hepatitis) it may not heal, despite treating the conditions that cause it. In this setting cirrhosis can develop.
