I would consult: An ENT doc or oralmaxillofacial surgeon they can go over all of your options with you. You can consider nsaids, oral steroids, cortsone injections, arthroscopy or open debridement and even TMJ reconstruction.

Caution: Tmj conditions can become chronic problems if not managed correctly by someone with experience. In general, surgical intervention should be a last resort. I would also not hesitate to get multiple opinions to explore both non surgical and surgical options. There are a number of varying opinions on how to treat TMJ conditions. Find someone with experience, and who you feel comfortable with.
