possibly: Certainly a post-traumatic arthritis is possible but so are other issues such as a complex regional pain syndrome. Have the ankle reevaluated including a new mri.

MORE SPECIFIC: So these are MRI findings, but all within the subtalar joint? Was the lateral process surgically repaired? Again, if the pain is the STJ, I think I would do a CT scan, not a repeat MRI. I would also consider a cortisone/local anesthetic injection into the STJ to see if the pain goes away. Good luck.
