Depends: Anemia is a description of a blood problem: low red blood cells and hemoglobin. It is not a disease but can be associated with one or a result of one. It may be nothing more than low blood counts from normal menstruation but should be evaluated further. Important questions: how anemic what kind of anemia (what does blood look like)? Are there other lab abnormalities? How do you feel. Md exam? Etc.
