It depends.: If your baby is under 3 months old, any temp of 100.4 rectal or higher warrants a doctor visit. If under 2 years old and the rectal temp is 102.0 or higher, see the doctor. At any temp, if your child is inconsolable or poorly rousable, or if you see anything else that concerns you, have her seen right away. I hope she feels better soon!

It's just not fever: It depends on the age and how sick your baby looks and acts. Any fever in a baby under the age of 2 months should be seen immediately.( fever > than 100.5 rectal). Other ages depends on how is the child acting, is there any common problems like cold and how long has it been going on for.
