Depression treatment: First of all, you should somehow get evaluated and formally diagnosed with depression (or major depressive disorder, as it is called) prior to considering any help. The best known treatment strategies for depression are medications and psychotherapy, or combination of both (which also works the best).

U can get treatment: Unless yr age as listed is a typo (38), u are an adult - why would you need yr parents to take you to the doctor? In many states, even minors can get treatment without their parents consent (and sometimes without their knowledge) if it is in the best interest of the child. Call yr local county mental health office or crisis hotline, usually in the front pages of the local telephone directory.
