Cyst or infection: This may be a cyst or an infected or obstructed gland, such as an oil gland or a sweat gland. If it is not tender, it is probably not infected. If it is tender, seek help immediately so that the infection doesn't spread into a full blown cellulitis. Oral antibiotics might be needed for this condition. Please do not try to drain the lump on your own.
