When going in for sclerotherapy, how many veins can be done at one time?

Dr. Ted King answered

There is no limit: Although it is unusual to treat every necessary vein in one sclerotherapy session, many can be treated. Generally, treatment sessions are limited by time and the amount of sclerosant that is used rther than the number of veins treated.

It's volume dependen: It is the total amount of solution that is injected rather than the num, ber of veins that are injected that ios the limiting factor to s sclerotherapy session.

Many: Many veins can be done at one time. The operator is limited by the amount of sclerosant he can inject based on body weight. %3 sodium tetradecyl max dose is about 25cc in the average 70kg adult.
