Possibly Yes : If you have reflux in the deeper superficial veins and varicose veins it is generally advisable to get the saphenous reflux treated first. Then get the varicose veins and spider veins treated . If you just have tiny spider veins especially on the outside of the thigh they can be treated at any time.

Yes: You should not need the deep veins treated. In your legs there are deep veins and superficial veins. The veins that will be treated with cosmetic sclero are all superficial. If you have a lot of spider veins, it may be worth having someone look for venous insufficiency.

Entirely possible: I am not sure what you mean by deep veins. If you mean the veins of the deep vein system, we don't ever want to treat them when we do sclerotherapy. On the other hand, if you are talking about underlying superficial veins that might not be visible at the skin's surface, cosmetic sclerotherapy can usually be performed without treating them although cosmetic sclero might be less effective.

Yes.: Sclerotherapy for spider veins is considered cosmetic. However, often times, especially with a large amount of spiders or if spider veins have been treated with sclerotherapy without improvement, one should consider the spiders to possible be originating from the malfunctioning valves in the saphenous system. You may want to be evaluated by a vein specialist before beginning your treatment.
