Keep in clean: At 48 hrs it can be washed with mild soap followed by removal of the crusting with peroxide diluted 1:1with water followed by Bacitracin ointment tid. Make sure the sutures are out in 5-6 days and then apply vitamin e, mederma, or scarfade nightly for a month. For the next few months make sure there is sunscreen on it as it will be sensitive to sunburn.
