Diabetic's prognosis: You have not provided enough information. What is the sex, age, race and weight of the person you are referring to? Does the person have high bp? He/she needs to see a nephrologist and have his/her kidneys evaluated as well as have a renal ultrasound. In addition blood work will have to be sent off and any hypertension present will need to be treated. If the person is obese, weight loss may help.
