Possibility.....: Typically, a bacterial bronchitis, treated with antibiotics, resolves within about 7-10 days. Since your cough is lasting longer than that, you may have bronchospasm that can occur following a bout of acute bronchitis. The treatment usually consists of a bronchodilator inhaler and perhaps a steroid inhaler. See your doctor again for diagnosis and treatment.
