Migraine: Sounds like migraine. Could be something more serious like optic neuritis or sinusutis.

Don't know: Usually a retinal migraine results in visual changes in the right or left sides of both eyes and is not limited to one eye alone. Other headache types are possible. Good to have it checked out. More esoteric and potentially harmful possibilities exist so i would get a dilated exam and also see your internist or primary doctor.
