Heat rash is common in persons living in warm or hot humid places. The skin reaction lasts typically until the skin has cooled down. The best treatment is to cool the skin using cold compresses, ice, water or aloe gel. In extreme cases, your Dr may prescribe steroid creams. Prevention involves wearing moisture wicking fabrics, taking breaks from the sun, spending time in a cool environment.
