Severe and ongoing!: Sort-term and small-amount changes in weight are not the issue (you consume ounces per meal, drink ounces per day, and eliminate via stool and urine). But weight loss that starts to become visible and ongoing when eating and exercise habits have not changed would be something to be concerned about. 2 pounds in a week doesn't rise to that level--yet! if you have other concerns, see your md.
