Polyarthritis: A nonspecific term for arthritis involving two or more joints, typically associated with auto-immune forms of arthritis. Symptoms usually include pain, inflammation, and/or swelling in multiple joints.

Polyarthritis: Poly=many; arthr=joint; itis=inflammation so her diagnosis is arthritis in many points (usually 5 or more for this definition). May be osteoarthritis due to "wear & tear" of joints, or may be rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease. Other: psoriatic arthritis, infectious arthritis. Oa trested with nsaids (advil/motrin or rx version); RA requires test for diagnosis; immune suppressants 4 tx.
