A member asked:

I'm going to see a gynecologist for pelvic pain and bleeding between periods. i'm scared- what will they do at the appointment ?

Probably:: I would expect: a lot of questions about the characteristics, associated features, etc of your pain, and likely a pelvic exam - may just involve placing a gloved index finer inside the vagina and the other hand pressing on the lower abdomen - to see if your ovaries or uterus (or bladder, etc) are tender when pressed upon. Then she/he may order laboratory tests (to look for uti, infections, ) &sono.
