Depends: There are many prophylactic treatments, and they should be decided with your doctor based on your personal preferences and other conditions you may have. Generally, options include antihypertensive, anti-seizure and anti-depressants, but the drugs in these categories do not work by treating blood pressure, depression or seizures but by a different mechanism.
