Why?: Of course you can always get your tooth pulled by a dentist, but why would you want that if the tooth can be saved? Just because something broke off doesn't mean the tooth should be extracted. If you had arthritis in one finger, would you want your finger amputated? Your are so young to consider removing teeth needlessly. Please see a dentist to evaluate that tooth & the rest of your teeth also.

Save the tooth: Hopefully the broken piece can be repaired with either a filling or a crown. Many patients assume that removal of a tooth is a good solution, especially if tooth doesn't show, but this often creates chewing problems later. Only have the tooth removed if it is severely consumed with decay and can't be restored. Have it checked out and talk with dentist about options.
