Agree with trial: Hi, the doctor may be suspecting an inflammatory disease such as polymyalgia Rheumatica and / or temporal arteritis that can present the way you are. Diagnosis is made usually clinically and based on symptoms along with lab support of high inflammation markers.

Bulging disk?: If this just started the last couple days and if the pain in your back and legs worsens with coughing, one common cause of such pain is a herniated disk. Are you having difficulty with standing due to pain, or due to weakness? If it's due to weakness, or if there's any changes with your bowel or bladder control, you should go to the emergency room. Feel free to message me to discuss further.
