Ovarian cysts: Hemorrhagic cysts specially if recurrent or persistent needs to be differentiated from endometrioma. This differentiation could be done by serial ultrasound or laparoscopy.

Ovarian cyst: Every month your ovaries, one at a time make 1 egg. After ovulation that cyst will form a corpus luteum which eventually will bleed. So normally every month you should have a bleeding cyst. To stop this you can take ocp or other hormonal contraception.
