Consult OB/GYN DR: Ovarian cyst is quite common yet does not cause significant pain in many young women. Ovarian cysts are often found incidentally, through sonogram or CT exam, in women presenting with lower abdominal pain. Ovarian cyst, once determined by OB/Gyn specialist as culprit, may be observed for awhile or undergoes surgical removal.
