Yes: If you want to get pregnant, he should not be on testosterone. There are other better options to increase his testosterone without decreasing sperm count. Please see doc to discuss options.

Yes: The testes do two main things - make testosterone & make sperm. Outside testosterone shuts off pituitary hormones that stimulate both functions, so so sperm count drops v low. Depending on the cause of the low t, treatment options may include living w/ slightly low t but nl sperm count until conception occurs, taking shots of pituitary hormones, or ivf with sperm injected into egg (icsi).
