Eating Disorder NOS: Well, it may not be that simple. People with eating disorders often feel ashamed & may not bring the issue to their doctor's attention. As a result, individuals with eating disorders may not get medical attention until family members press the issue or they become very ill. On the other hand, doctors often become more aggressive at attending to conditions as they become more serious/ harmful.
