Symptoms & urinalysi: Suspect UTI from symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency and/or burning pain, foul smelling, cloudy or bloody urine. Then urine test would be positive for bacteria (usually nitrite positive) and prabable large numebr of white blood cells. Urine culture will determine the type of bacteria causing the uti, & sensitivities would demonstrate susceptability to various antibiotics.
