Need more info: If you smoke, stop. Do you have sinus congestion? Postnasal drip accumulating in back of throat may trigger this. Do you have reflux esophagitis? Is there some structural anatomic abnormality?Suggest you go and see a doctor and get evaluated.

Post nasal drip: Morning cough is likely to be due to nasal drainage that accumulated over night and drains as you begin to move around. It could also be due to asthma. Try salt water nasal rinse before bed and try an over the counter antihistamine. If that doesn't work, see your doctor; you may need prescription nasal spray, an antibiotic or asthma treatment.

Cough needs eval: If you're having daily cough it's important to be eval by your doctor. May be post nasal drainage which is treated with anthistamines. Or even acid reflux which is treated by otc meds like Prevacid or prilosec. Also need to r/o infection. More concerning would be the possibility of asthma if this is chronic. It is not unusual for cough to lead to vomiting reflex. Chest x-ray or pft may help.
