Possible causes: Causes that immediately come to mind are: 1- frontal sinus congestion (does it hurt more when you move your head around, or if you press up on the bone just between your lid and your brow? If so, nasal decongestants may help. 2- ocular surface disorder such as dry eye or allergy eye. Rx drops may help 3. Herpetic (shingles-type) pain. This is often triggered by ingestion of certain foods/drinks.
