Lack of BM: You might not have enough of breast milk and she needs supplementation with the formula after breastfeeding.

Lactation consultant: While lack of milk supply is certainly a possibility, it is also possible that she is not latching on correctly and/or sucking properly. For instance, if she is just getting the tip of the nipple in and not the entire aereola, you may not get let down and instead will just get sore nipples and a frustrated baby. If at all possible, ask your doctor about lactation consultants in your area.
