Continue brushing: As long as you are using soft bristle or ultrasoft brush, continue to brush parallel to the gum. This should stop the once a week bleeding which is a sign of only gingivitis. If persistent bleeding in several days or weeks, check with your dentist since you may have severe perio or other dental problems that must be evaluated and treated asap.
