A member asked:

Should a person with hepatitis c get married have kids?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on situation: Marriage & child rearing is a complex issue that is fine for some & probably not for others. The fact that a person has had hep c in the past should not exclude a person from the process. The transmission rate from mother to child runs about 5%. There are risks with any pregnancy for some unexpected outcome, for this issue you can at least be aware of the possibility.
