All you need are : Breasts, nipples, plenty of liquids, family support, a boppie for physical support (http://www.Ehow.Com/how_4673082_use-boppie-pillow.Html), breastfeeding classes from lactation specialists; e.g., at memorial hospital (http://local.Healthywomen.Org/about_breastfeeding_modesto_ca-r1355108-modesto_ca.Html#cnt), & an electric pump if you're going back to work to nurse till ~ a year. Go for it!

Be prepared to try: Be ready to try. Then see how you do. You will know if it is right for you and your baby. It is a very natural thing. Some babies take right to it and some need a little time and help. Often depends on full term or early delivery. You will feel it. Good luck.

Try it: Just try it. Most women can breast feed. It takes patience and you may not be successful on the first try. But try again. It is worth it for your baby and for you.
