How do i transfer breast fed infant to formula?

If you must: If baby smells you he/she may resist the bottle but dad or others may be able to get a hungry baby to suck down some formula. Some substitute one feeding/day then 2, 3 etc as slowly or as fast as you both can do it. Some can do a radicle switch to total formula but i avoid that unless an urgent issue came up, the stress for both is tremendous. Good luck.

Cold turkey or ...: You can try cold turkey and see how the baby likes the formula, if does than continue. If not, then start with 1/4 formula 3/4 breast milk in a bottle, and over the next few days go to 2/4 then 1/4 and then full formula. Most infants are pretty tolerant of the changes. If having problems, see your baby's pediatrician.
