Intracranial HTN: Intracranial hypertension means that the pressure of cerebrospinal fluid within the skull is too high. Brain has the fluid inside and is also surrounded by the fluid. Since the skull is closed any increase in this fluid will cause the pressure to go up. This is very serious. Intracranial hypertension in adults is generally defined as intracranial pressure that reaches 250mmh2o or above.
