Not too high: Cholesterol of 5.3 is not abnormally high. However you need evaluation of all the lipids. If you wish to reduce your cholesterol first step would be to reduce your intake of saturated fats and lose weight if your bmi is more than 25. Exercise is generally a good idea to improve fitness.
