Why switch?: Though Effexor (venlafaxine) may be cheaper-(dosage is actually higher but only because they are not quite equivalent-) it sounds like you have hit on something that may be working. Working through medicines can be exhausting for patients and finding the right one may be worth hanging in there come what cost, dose--sometimes.
