Depending what it is being used for 6mg is a reasonable dose, with typical dosing reanging from 1mg a day to 2mg three times a day, to 1-2mg at night.

Yes: The average starting dose of Clonazepam is 0.5 mg three times a day, and you are on four times that amount. That may be an appropriate dose if there is severe anxiety. However, both antidepressants (ssri/snris) and psychotherapy are better treatments for anxiety in the longer term. Many people do well with clonazepam, even in that dose. If it is to be stopped or reduced, it has to be done slowly.
