A member asked:

I keep getting splinter hemorrages on multiple nails, it's not endocarditis could it be my meds? (nebivolol, aspirin or lipitor)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Splinter Hemorrhages: Splinter hemorrhages (or haemorrhages) are tiny blood clots that tend to run vertically under the nails. Splinter hemorrhages are a nonspecific finding and can be associated with subacute bacterial endocarditis, scleroderma, trichinosis, systemic lupus erythematosus (sle), rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic nails, antiphospholipid syndrome and trauma.
