Possibly: It could - if it is causing problems with your intestinal system. In men, the lower left abdomen is usually a site of pain caused by intestinal disease, a condition called diverticulitis can cause sharp left lower quadrant pains. Do you have any diarrheal problems, or any black stools or blood in stools? Other causes can be hernias or musculoskeletal causes.
