Tooth extraction: There are healthy and unhealthy or infected granulation tissue . Healthy granulation tissue helps in normal healing process , unhealthy tissue needs to be removed . Your dentist will be the best judge.

YES: A granulation tissue is a perfused fibrous connective tissue that replace your clot in the extraction socket as the wound heal. It appears light to dark pink with bumpy appearance and perfused with capillary network. It composed with cell of immune system, extracellular matrix, and network of vascularization.

Ask your Dentist: Most often the answer is that this is normal. Occasionally there can be a problem. A clinical examination is required to differentiate. This should be part of your post-surgical care, so go see the General Dentist or specialist Oral Surgeon that did your extraction.
