Hupothyroid dry skin: Hypothyroidism can cause dry and rough skin, you did not mention if you are taking thyroid replacement with thyroid hormone and if your thyroid functions are normal that is t3, (liothyronine) t4, and tsh you can use a hand moisturiser after you wash hands every time and get your thyroid profile tested if it is normal as you say you have inactive thyroid since young.
