Yes, it can: If we are talking about a diagnosis of an osteochondral contusion of the talus, the length of time to heal is determined by the depth of the lesion (usually on MRI or ct). If this is only a contusion, then a period of immobilization and passive rom can be helpful for this to heal. Fluid around a tendon sheath (tendinitis) is usually resolved with nsaids, pt and bracing/rest.
