Variable: Have you seen an ortho doc? Immobilization i will a boot or cast to start. If it hurts to walk on it, then use in crutches and don't walk on it. It takes time but get checked out by ortho.

You did not : Mention how you injured them or how bad they were injured. In any case immobilization in a "cam walker" boot is probably a good idea. Google air cast pneumatic short walker as an example of what I am talking about.

Diagnosed: I would suggest a diagnostic test like an mri. You could have a tear in the tendon or ligaments.
