Patience: It can take several weeks for Retin-A to help with uneven skin tone. You may need an additional bleaching agent to help with increased pigmentation. Acne marks will likely need a cosmetic procedure such as dermabrasion or subcision. The redness is most likely a side effect of the retin-a. I'm glad that it has already helped with your acne!

Acne: Retin a (tretinoin) is a very good acne medication. It is important that you use it properly. Wash you face do not scrub, pat dry. Wait at least 45 minutes before applying retin a (tretinoin). It is important to keep your hands out of your face. You will start to see improvement after approximately 4-6 months. Don't give up. It works.
