What's your question: Metformin is an excellent medication to lower blood sugars w/o allowing them to drop too far if you miss/skip a meal. It's our 1st line agent & drug of choice in those who are overweight & presumably Insulin resistant. Don't forget that nutrition & exercise are still key to getting your sugars under control. Make sure you see your eye doctor annually to prevent blindness from diabetes.

Lose weight: It is imperative to lose weight through exercise and diet, easier said than done. In addition to taking your medication, losing weight will do the most good in controlling your disease. Wish you good health!
