Vigorous exercise : Vigorous exercise minimum 30 to 45 minutes; reduce salt in diet; stop caffeinated drinks; make sure vitamin d levels are normal; st. John's wort.

Behavioral options!: Chronic hair pulling -trichotillomania or "trich"- can arise in response to (a) emotions - anxiety, fear, boredom, excitement; &/or (b) detecting some roughness/imperfection of hair/skin. Hair pulling can feel pleasurable & can serve to relieve tension. But "trichsters" often feel ashamed, depressed & hopeless. There are effective behavior treatments.
