I Think So: If you are not suicidal or do not have a suicidal ideation history, i feel at some point it is wise to see if you continue to require the medication as situations certainly change over time. Just don't stop "cold turkey". Wean yourself off by continuing to decrease your dosage every few days until you are down to nothing. God bless.

Management not cure: Depression is a common and chronic disorder. There is no real cure. The only real treatment is a plan of management. The best is talking out issues and not having to rely on medications. Medications can be used on a temporary basis while better management methods are developed. You are the only one to decide whether you can do without the medications.
